COVID-19

As the current Coronavirus health crisis continues to evolve, Bearing Service is taking pro-active measures to protect the health of our employees, our customers, and our supplier contacts. To help you better understand the steps that we have taken thus far, we wanted you to know what we have been doing over the last several days to minimize the impact to our mutual businesses:

View our COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan

  • We have instituted all of the precautionary health measures suggested by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) regarding hand washing, social distancing, sanitation of our buildings, including work stations, and other pro-active measures to help minimize the possibility of contraction of the COVID-19 virus by our employees.
  • We have a strict directive that any employee who is sick for any reason should stay home and not return to work until they are symptom-free for at least 24 hours without the use of medication. We will be granting additional paid-time-off to any employee who contracts the virus, to negate any additional financial burden
  • on our employees.
  • We have contingency plans in place should any of our employees test positive for the virus. This includes mandatory 14-day self-quarantining of any employees who had primary contact with the affected employee, sanitation of our facilities, and other measures to prevent an outbreak of this disease within our organization.
  • We have executed on our work-from-home employee policy, minimizing the number of employees in our facilities to allow for greater social distancing. At the same time, our commitment to continuing to provide Premium Service & Expert Solutions to our valued customers is ongoing, as we plan to maintain staff at all Bearing Service locations during this crisis, as long as the government allows us to do so.
  • We are working with our customers and vendors to ensure that any disruptions in the supply chain are addressed immediately and pro-actively. This includes daily review of any backordered products from our suppliers that have an upcoming promise date to our customers.
  • We are still in a great position to source hard-to-find bearings, power transmission products, and related accessories, from our many authorized manufacturers.

While we may not be able to anticipate the next hurdle that we may encounter in the coming days and weeks, please be assured that we are taking steps to protect the health of all of our employees, customers and supplier partners, as well as continuing to provide the service that you have come to expect from Bearing Service for the past 77 years. May you and the people within your organization stay well during this difficult time.
